The 2026 technical baccalaureate exams began smoothly this Monday at examination center 1626, located at the Mamba Guirassy Industrial Mining Technical High School in Kédougou. Academic authorities are pleased with the start, which was free of major incidents, thanks to a strong mobilization of invigilators and an operational security presence.

According to jury president Moustapha Anne, 150 candidates are registered this year, divided into three tracks. The Science and Technology of Industry and Sustainable Development (STIDD) track has 63 candidates, including 29 girls and 34 boys. The T1 track has 4 candidates, including one girl and three boys. The Science and Technology of Economics and Management (STEG) track has 83 candidates, including 45 girls and 38 boys.

“For this jury, we have an almost perfect distribution with 50% boys and 50% girls. For this first test, we only had four absences. For the moment, everything is going well and we have started in very good conditions,” said the jury president.

As part of the examination monitoring process, the Kédougou regional education inspector, Jamal Abdel Nasser Diallo, conducted a supervisory visit to the center. Following his tour, he expressed his satisfaction with how the operations were proceeding.

"We came to supervise the technical Baccalaureate at jury 1626. After speaking with the head of the center and the president of the jury, we found that everything is going normally," he stated.

Regional education inspector Jamal Nasser Diallo explained that the mission aimed to verify the effectiveness of the established procedures and adherence to national standards and schedules. "We observed that only four candidates were absent. All invigilators were present at their posts, and the exams were proceeding smoothly. Security measures were also in place," he added.

This first day of the 2026 technical Baccalaureate in Kédougou thus suggests an examination organized in serenity, thanks to the mobilization of actors in the education system and the security forces committed to guaranteeing the smooth running of the tests.
