It was a hard-fought victory! Ivory Coast triumphed over Ecuador in a difficult match yesterday, Sunday, in their opening game of the 2026 World Cup. The Elephants struggled to break down a very well-organized Ecuadorian defense. The only goal of the match was scored by Amad Diallo in the 9th minute.
Well served by defender Wilfried Singo, the Manchester United winger unleashed a left-footed shot that ended up in the inside corner of Hernan Galindez's net.
He dropped off Piero Hincapié, his evening client, several times.
