Canaries : 148 migrants partis du Sénégal secourus
One hundred and forty-eight migrants who had departed from Senegal aboard two pirogues were rescued off the coast of Gran Canaria, in the Spanish Canary Islands archipelago, after spending between eight and eleven days at sea. The rescue operations were carried out by teams from Salvamento Marítimo , the Spanish maritime rescue service.
According to information provided to the emergency services, the first intervention took place on Wednesday around 11 p.m. Rescuers spotted a boat carrying 12 adult men approximately 200 meters off the coast of Arguineguín, in southern Gran Canaria. The occupants stated that they had left the Senegalese coast eight days earlier. They were brought to the port of Arguineguín around 1 a.m. None of them required hospitalization.
A few hours later, around 3:45 a.m., a second boat was located approximately 7.4 kilometers south of the island. On board were 136 people, including seven women, who had endured eleven harrowing days at sea. This second operation was triggered by a radar alert from the Spanish External Surveillance System (SIVE), relayed by the Civil Guard. The migrants were taken aboard by the crew of the Salvamar Macondo and disembarked at Arguineguín around 6:50 a.m.

Ces images sont indignes d'un pays qui se prétend souverain . Vraiment , le SENEGAL fait honte à l'Afrique
