Une tour de 94 mètres au cœur du Plateau : La CBAO lance le chantier spectaculaire de son futur siège à Dakar
CBAO Groupe Attijariwafa bank has officially laid the foundation stone for its future headquarters in Dakar, marking a new chapter in its history. Located at the corner of Independence Square, in the heart of the Plateau district and near the Dakar Prefecture, the future building will be situated in one of the capital's iconic neighborhoods.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Mohamed El Kettani, Chairman and CEO of the Attijariwafa bank Group , and Mr. Moussa Bala FOFANA, Minister of Urban Planning, Territorial Communities and Territorial Development, as well as institutional figures and economic actors.
Through this event, CBAO launched a major real estate project, demonstrating its commitment to achieving its ambitions and preparing for the next stages of its development. Beyond the construction of a new building, this initiative reflects the bank's dedication to supporting the evolution of the financial sector and to strengthening its long-term presence in Senegal.
A future headquarters with a distinctive architectural signature
Conceived as a contemporary building in the heart of Dakar, the future headquarters will take the form of an 18-story tower reaching a height of 94 meters. With a total floor area of 26,600 m², including 17,200 m² of office space, the building will also incorporate a modular, multi-purpose hall with 330 seats, designed to accommodate various types of meetings and events.
Its architecture will be distinguished by a faceted glass monolith, whose contemporary lines will reshape the urban landscape of the Plateau. Another emblematic element of the project: a green space extending the plantings of Independence Square to the top of the building, thus creating a dialogue between architecture and nature in the heart of the capital.
The project also incorporates an environmental ambition, aiming for LEED Gold certification, demonstrating a commitment to more sustainable construction practices . The building is expected to be completed in 2030.
With its dimensions, design and strategic location, this future headquarters aims to offer CBAO a working environment adapted to its development prospects, while contributing to the renewal of Dakar's architectural landscape.
An investment geared towards the future
The laying of this foundation stone demonstrates CBAO's commitment to sustainable growth. The project aims to support the evolution of its activities, bolster its future ambitions, and provide an environment adapted to the changing nature of its business.
In a constantly evolving financial sector, infrastructure is a key lever for supporting organizational changes and meeting the needs of their clients. Through this project, CBAO reaffirms its commitment to Senegal and its dedication to continued growth based on infrastructure designed for long-term sustainability.
The groundbreaking ceremony marks a new chapter for CBAO Groupe Attijariwafa bank. This symbolic step aligns the bank's ambitions with a long-term perspective and contributes, on its own scale, to the economic and urban development of Dakar.
