Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla is no longer a member of uMkhonto weSizwe (MK), the party founded by her father, Jacob Zuma. She was expelled from the political organization, as was MP Nhlamulo Ndhlela. They are accused of actions that undermine the party's authority.
“National officials have reviewed a series of actions, public statements, and activities by Ms. Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla and Mr. Nhlamulo Ndhlela that have been found to be contrary to the constitutional obligations of MK party members and leaders and have undermined the unity, discipline, and cohesion of the organization. As a result, the uMkhonto weSizwe party announces the immediate expulsion of Ms. Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla and Mr. Nhlamulo Ndhlela,” said MK Secretary General Sibonelo Nomvalo at a press conference yesterday, Thursday, June 18.
She publicly discredited the party's recognized leadership structures
It reveals that Zuma's daughter particularly distinguished herself by multiplying public statements and social media posts that undermined the organization's unity, promoted factional narratives, publicly discredited the party's recognized leadership structures, challenged the legitimacy of party decisions, and brought internal organizational issues into the public arena.
According to Momvalo, these actions have fostered divisions within the party and undermined confidence in the collective leadership.
