Coopération militaire entre le Bénin et la France : Un attaché de défense adjoint débarque à Cotonou
According to information from the website LaMarina.bj, France recently reinforced its defense mission in Cotonou. A deputy defense attaché, Vincent Anthonioz, arrived directly from Paris and joined the French embassy in the country at the beginning of August.
This experienced Lieutenant-Colonel comes from the Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy (DGRIS) of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces.
A pure product of the Armored Cavalry
He will assist the defense attaché at the French Embassy in Benin, Lieutenant-Colonel Arnaud Ardillier. Vincent Anthonioz is a product of the Armored Cavalry, a branch of the French Army responsible for armored warfare. Throughout his career, he has held several operational and command positions.
He only joined the Dgris in 2023. His arrival in Benin is certainly not insignificant. The country has been facing the terrorist threat for several years, and France is one of the partners helping it in the fight against this scourge.
