Within the framework of the food sovereignty initiative championed by several African states and in line with the continental ambition “Africa Feeding Africa,” the Government of the Republic of Benin and Gade Gui Senegal, a major player in the Senegalese agribusiness sector, announce a significant step forward in their strategic public-private partnership. Aimed at sustainably transforming the Beninese poultry industry, this historic collaboration takes its first concrete step with the launch of a technical immersion program for Beninese youth, supported by the creation of a major industrial enterprise.

Senegal is hosting 18 Beninese professionals for intensive training.

The first concrete step in this historic cooperation: 18 young professionals from Benin have just arrived in Senegal for an intensive three-month practical training program. They will be trained within the industrial farms, production units, and modern slaughterhouses of Gade Gui Senegal.

This high-level technical immersion program is specifically designed to transfer cutting-edge expertise to Benin. The program will comprehensively cover the entire poultry value chain, from breeding to industrial processing.

Creation of SoDeFA SA: The driving force behind poultry industrialization in Benin

As part of this innovative public-private partnership, the Government of Benin and Gade Gui Senegal have officially created SoDeFA SA, the Poultry Farm Development Company of Benin.

This new entity constitutes the strategic vehicle and operational arm of the project. Its mission will be to lead a vast national program aimed at the structural transformation and industrialization of the Beninese poultry sector, thus laying the foundations for strengthened food security in the sub-region.

Ca c'est concret. Il va falloir trouver un autre partenaire brésilien ou de l'Europe de l'est pour mieux renforcer le partenariat qui peut transformer l'elevage avicole au Benin
