Guinée : 39 militaires, dont deux forces spéciales, radiés pour désertion
The Guinean army has been hit by a wave of dismissals. A total of 39 soldiers have been discharged from the defense and security forces for desertion. Among them are two members of the Special Forces Group (GFS).
The decision, taken by the President of the Republic Mamadi Doumbouya and the Minister Delegate for Defense, Ibrahima Kalil Condé, was made public this Thursday, October 29, 2026, by national television.
