Incidents à la frontière sénégalo-gambienne : Adama Barrow donne des nouvelles rassurantes
Gambian President Adama Barrow recently highlighted significant progress made by Senegal and The Gambia in negotiations concerning the recent border disputes that have affected Gambian farming communities. Following consultations between the Senegalese-Gambian Permanent Secretariat and the border commissions of The Gambia and Senegal, it was decided to allow Gambian farmers living along the shared border to return to their farms. They had been evicted by the Senegalese Armed Forces after the outbreak of the incidents in mid-July.
The State House tenant reminded farming communities that they are subject to strict adherence to the law and rules governing land use and cross-border movement.
