J'ai envie de te « casser la gueule » : Un activiste bisexuel gabonais s’en prend violemment à Oligui Nguéma, la réaction de Libreville
It seems unreal. Last week, the well-known Gabonese activist Ange Landry Mbeng, also known as Lanlaire, launched a vicious attack on President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma, hurling insults at him and his family. He even promised to "smash his face in."
The man, an openly bisexual man, accuses the Gabonese leader of defaming his late mother and plotting to "assassinate" her.
These remarks were "gravely insulting and outrageous" towards the President of the Republic.
In Gabon, the government, through the Minister of Communication Germain Biahodjow, expressed its "deep indignation" at these "gravely insulting and outrageous" remarks against the President of the Republic Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma, his wife Zita, his parents and other personalities.
For the authority, such a "drift in the public debate is unacceptable" and undermines the "respect due to the highest institution of the Gabonese Republic".
Freedom of expression "cannot be misused to justify outrage, insult, defamation, humiliation or any other form of attack on respect for human dignity," continued Mr. Biahodjow, not without calling on the judicial authorities to examine the facts and apply the provisions provided for by law.
Oligui Nguéma called "bisexual"
It must be said that in the same video attacking Oligui Nguéma, Lanlaire also called the leader "bisexual," accusing him of "sleeping with young Gabonese rappers." It should be noted that the activist has been living between Switzerland and France for almost 20 years.
