Lycée de Richard Toll : pour obtenir de bonnes notes, dix élèves cambriolent le bureau du provisoire, mais ils n’ont pas pris que les épreuves de maths
Ten students from the second year of the Literature track at the Richard Toll high school are in police custody at the local station for conspiracy, burglary committed at night, and exam fraud. According to the prosecution, on Tuesday, June 16, some of the accused broke a window and entered the principal's office during the night, while others remained outside to keep watch. They stole the mathematics exam papers and three cell phones that were in an envelope.
According to Libération, which reported on this bizarre affair, the headmaster filed a complaint three days after the incident. "The investigation led to the arrest of ten students in the second year of the literature track," the newspaper stated. When questioned by investigators, four of them claimed that their poor grades on second-semester tests were the reason for the theft. The idea, they said, was to steal the math exam papers to then improve their scores on the written exams.
But once inside the principal's office, the alleged thieves didn't stop at stealing the exam papers. "They also took three cell phones—an iPhone XR, a Tecno, and a Spark—which they claim to have found in an envelope stored in the cabinet," reports Libération. "Following their theft, they said they went to the home of one of the group members to process the exams and divide the three phones among themselves. D. Lom took the iPhone, the Tecno Spark went to F. Diallo, while M. Fall inherited the Tecno Simple."
