Mor L., a tailor by trade, was taken into custody at the Guédiawaye police station for sexual assault of a minor. D. Mbaye, the father of the alleged victim, accuses him of abusing his 6-year-old daughter, S. Mbaye. Libération, which is reporting on this case, states that the complainant was alerted by his child's heart-rending cry coming from the bathroom of their home.
When questioned, the girl revealed to her parents that she had been injured in her private parts by Mor L., an employee in a workshop next to the child's mother's restaurant, near the Modou Fall shopping center in Pikine.
D. Mbaye stated in his complaint that the accused confessed when he was arrested. "Summoned and questioned, Mor L., who refers to 'seytané', readily admitted the facts before specifying that he took advantage of his boss's absence to insert his finger into the victim's private parts," reports Libération.
The tailor, who should soon be brought before the prosecutor, is in a fine mess.
