Six corps découverts dans une fosse commune : la Commission nationale de la Défense brise le silence (Guinée)
In Guinea, the case of the six lifeless bodies found in a mass grave in Allasoyah, in the prefecture of Forécariah, on the night of August 23-24, continues to spark debate. This Saturday, the National Defense and Security Commission issued a statement on the matter.
In a statement read by Seneweb on the website of the Ministry of National Defence, the said Commission informs that following the terrible discovery, the public prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Forécariah had gone to the scene, accompanied by judicial police officers.
Following the initial investigations, the bodies were transported to the Forécariah prefectural hospital to continue the identification process and, if possible, to determine the circumstances and causes of death.
The Commission states that, at present, "no definitive conclusion can be drawn." It has therefore decided to refrain from any statement or interpretation that could influence the conclusions of the ongoing judicial investigations.
She calls for calm, caution, and cooperation with the investigative services. The Commission assures that all necessary measures are being taken to shed light on this matter and that "the results of the investigations will be communicated to the public through official channels, in accordance with legal procedure."
