Un pasteur révèle la « vraie » raison pour laquelle Adam et Ève ont été chassés du jardin d’Éden
Adam and Eve did not eat an apple: this shocking revelation from a famous Nigerian pastor sets the internet ablaze
What if our entire understanding of original sin was completely wrong? This is the rather surprising thesis put forward by the famous Nigerian pastor David Ibiyeomie. According to him, the fall of Man in the Garden of Eden has nothing to do with the forbidden fruit we've been taught about since childhood, but rather… with a question of tithing!
It was during a service rich in revelations before his vast congregation that the founder of Salvation Ministries made this unexpected statement, causing a shockwave on social media throughout the African continent.
While popular Christian tradition attributes the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden to the consumption of an apple (or a forbidden fruit), Pastor Ibiyeomie challenges this deeply ingrained myth. For him, the true unforgivable sin that brought God's wrath to its peak was both financial and spiritual in nature.
"What was the sin committed? That God became so angry and said, 'Adam, you have committed this sin, get out of here'? He did not commit adultery, he did not eat the apple, but Adam touched the tithe," the man of God asserted confidently.
Continuing his sermon, the pastor compared the prohibition against Adam to the biblical principle of tithing (the 10% of income given to God). According to his view, the first man crossed the line by appropriating what belonged exclusively to the Almighty.
"The tithe was the only thing God had forbidden him to touch. He said, 'This is yours and this is mine, do not touch them.' Every time you touch your tithe, you are living in dishonesty. You are touching what God told you not to touch," he hammered home to captivated worshippers.
As expected, this media appearance did not go unnoticed. On platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok, reactions are pouring in from all sides.
In any case, Pastor David Ibiyeomie has once again succeeded in placing spiritual debate at the heart of African current events.
