[Lune Diagne PDG Edp]
Senegal is a state governed by the rule of law, a republic with well-defined rules and laws. Each branch of government has its prerogatives, reflecting the principle of separation of powers: the executive, the judicial, and the legislative. The latter has embarked on a series of hearings under the pretext of overseeing the government's actions. But behind this initiative lies a genuine political agenda aimed at preventing the executive branch from fully exercising its role and demonizing the institutions. Members of the Pastef party are demanding accountability, while the former Speaker of the National Assembly, El Malick Ndiaye, must account for the management of MPs' vehicles. This murky affair warrants a commission of inquiry. The two years of Sonko and his government have also been disastrous on the economic and social fronts. But it has also been a breeding ground for scandals: the ASER affair, the MPs' vehicles, the billions in Bakel…
All these scandals weren't brought to light in the National Assembly because Ousmane Sonko was Prime Minister. We haven't forgotten; in the recent past, Ousmane Sonko publicly stated that he would never appear before a parliamentary inquiry. At the time, Guy Marius Sagna stood as a shield, calling the parliamentary inquiry purely politically motivated. Today, it's the same Guy who's playing the role of Colombo, even though he's just a member of parliament. He's neither a prosecutor nor a judge. A parliamentary hearing cannot replace the justice system. Pastef is still mired in manipulation, populism, and ignorance. In fact, this parliamentary group is a disgrace to Senegal's political and parliamentary history. Numerous legal setbacks and unconstitutional bills have marked this Pastef legislature. Their incompetence isn't limited to proposing laws diametrically opposed to the principles of the Republic; they also completely disregard the principle of separation of powers. The recent rejection of a bill to allow judges to testify before the National Assembly is the perfect illustration of this. Pastef, incapable of proposing any ideas, prefers to resort to demonization, slander, and insults. The National Assembly is sacred; it doesn't deserve these clowns. It's a legacy to be preserved for future generations.
Long live the Republic!
Long live democracy!
No to populism!

Dooroul fayouwoul.
Buvons le calice jusqu'à la lie. C'est tout ce que nous méritons.
