Macky Sall et l'ONU: Le Meilleur se retire, parce qu'il est le meilleur (Par Pr. Luc Sarr)
On October 17, 2026, President Macky Sall, Senegal's candidate for UN Secretary-General, decided to withdraw his candidacy.
Almost everywhere in the world, apart from a few grunts of warthogs emerging from the woods and the mournful hooting of owls in Senegal, this gesture has been praised accordingly.
In truth, it is expressive of the exceptional stature, aura and scope of a central player in the World-System.
1. This withdrawal reflects the lucidity and wisdom of a Major Statesman.
President Macky Sall has a remarkable grasp of the dynamics and logic that structure global geopolitics. He understood that in this battle for access to the UN Secretariat, Europe in general, particularly its non-permanent representatives on the Security Council, had ideologized its position (by proposing "Gender" as the central criterion for selection), even invoking a non-existent and never respected "Continental Rotation Rule" to make Latin America the supplier of the 10th UN Secretary-General.
It was this same lucidity that led him to understand that it was impossible for large structures like the OIC to officially support him (him, the only Muslim in the competition) and that the ongoing delays in our continent made the positions unclear.
It was this lucidity, finally, that allowed him to grasp the complexity and bitterness of the geopolitical rivalries between the 5 Permanent members of the Security Council, thus adding more confusion in determining the final choice.
It is in this global context, topsy-turvy, of crises and conflicts of all kinds, that President Macky Sall also demonstrated sublime wisdom: What to do in a competition without winners or losers and in which positions seem irrevocably fixed? What to do when all contenders are struck by the crippling "Veto"?
Accepting a possible collective rejection that could be a roadblock, a source of battles and potential compromises, or even the opening of a new List and new procedures?
Faced with all these questions, President Macky Sall chose the path of positional nobility: to withdraw in the name of Higher Causes and to better guarantee the credibility of the United Nations.
2. This withdrawal confirms the affirmation of a key actor in the world system.
The campaign for this election revealed a notorious fact, noted and relayed throughout the world: President Macky Sall was the best, the most structured, the most impactful and the most "sharp" of the candidates.
During the multiple hearings, President Macky Sall demonstrated to the world his vast repertoire, his very deep knowledge of the problems that assail the planet, and outlined his vision of the major concerns of peoples and nations.
His proposals to reform the UN and international economic governance, to rethink international relations refocused on peace, multilateralism, climate change, unequal development and the necessary consideration of the changes that have affected the global sphere since 1945, have captivated the world.
On all the major issues facing humanity today, President Macky Sall has risen to the occasion and demonstrated his superiority over all other candidates.
In short, the world has come to know President Macky Sall through his numerous successes in managing his national, continental, and international responsibilities. Now, it recognizes him for who he truly is: a key figure in the international system, whose voice is listened to, sought after, and requested from all over the world.
3. This withdrawal validates the status of President Macky Sall: a unifier of hopes and a catalyst for dreams of greatness.
All Senegalese, from whatever side they are on, all Africans and all those who embody and carry excellence in the world, have been dazzled by President Macky Sall.
Better still, they saw in Macky Sall the standard-bearer of a humanity reconciled with itself, the champion of just causes, those that open the doors to a better world for all peoples. This immense pride also carries glimmers of hope for the advent of a new world free from injustice of all kinds.
President Macky Sall has demonstrated, if any proof were needed, that Africa possesses formidable and magnificent human resources, capable of competing on equal footing with all other nations worldwide. With President Macky Sall's brilliant achievements, the rest of the world is taking a new look at Africa and Africans.
This undeniable reality, this objective truth, contrasts sharply with what is currently happening in Senegal. A country in dire straits, plunged into utter chaos, whose great people live on the very edge of what is humanly acceptable.
This reality points the way forward: the indispensable return of President Macky Sall to power. His return to Senegal has even become a categorical historical imperative.
Today, President Macky Sall is both a source of support and a source of help for the overwhelming majority of a Senegalese people who are suffering, but still standing strong!
The Alliance for the Republic (APR), our Party, has always been clear about the political mission it has assigned to President Macky Sall, which is summarized by the driving slogan:
"IT'S A MUST-SEE."
In other words, either he becomes Secretary General of the UN, or he returns to Senegal to lead it again, to the great happiness of his people.
President Macky Sall has decided not to "PASSE".
Senegal demands that "IT HAPPENS AGAIN" and... is WAITING FOR IT!!!!

Après le retrait de sa candidature suite au "veto " de 3 des 5 membres permanents , j'ai lu d'autres mercenaires expliquer que Macky s'est retiré parce que Trump voulait avec un secrétaire général de l'ONU qui ferait qu'il veut, et Macky a refusé cela, préférant partir.
Je me suis dis que l'avantage c'est que inchallah le sénégalais va finir par comprendre le système, ses mensonges, et ses principes par exemple de ne jamais laisser tomber un mensonge.
