In several other hydrological stations, levels also continue to trend downwards, although an increase is observed in Mako and Thiokoye.
The hydrological situation of the Gambia River and its main tributaries remains generally characterized by a decline in water levels at several monitoring stations. This is according to the daily hydrological bulletin of September 10, 2026.

Yellow alert in Kédougou and Mako
The bulletin indicates a yellow alert, urging the population to remain vigilant, particularly in the areas covered by this hydrological monitoring.
Overall, however, the observed levels remain below alert thresholds at the stations for which data is available. The situation therefore remains to be monitored, particularly with the approach of the next rains and depending on the evolution of the flow rates of the Gambia River and its tributaries.
