Inondations à Dakar : L’État au chevet de la Zone de Captage après des pluies dévastatrices
The torrential rains of rare intensity that have struck the Dakar region in recent days have plunged several neighborhoods into chaos. Between impassable roads, flooded homes, extensive material damage, and loss of life, the capital is facing a major environmental and social emergency.
In response to this crisis, a high-level government delegation visited the Water Catchment Zone on Monday, one of the areas historically most vulnerable to flooding in Dakar. The tour was led by the Minister of the Interior and Public Security, Makhtar Cissé, accompanied by the Minister of Sanitation and the Minister of Transport, Abdou Ahad Ndiaye.
This field visit aimed to witness firsthand the extent of the difficulties faced by local residents, to urgently assess their priority needs, and to oversee the mobilization of emergency services. On site, the teams deployed are continuing pumping operations, clearing stagnant water, and providing emergency assistance to affected households.
Speaking at the end of the visit, the Minister of the Interior expressed the government's deep compassion for the severely affected populations. Offering his condolences to the families of the victims who died during the storms, he reaffirmed the nation's solidarity and the State's firm commitment to leaving no one behind.
According to the minister, the government is determined to provide immediate and appropriate responses to accelerate the receding of the floodwaters, while ensuring continuous monitoring of the situation on the ground. As the weather remains under close observation, the authorities intend to maintain maximum mobilization of civil security services and sanitation infrastructure to secure vulnerable neighborhoods.

Aujourd'hui, c'est le PM qui vient promettre un programme de 900 milliards contre les mêmes inondations. Finalement, pour ces gens, tromper le peuple est une obligation.
Le problème n'est pas le quartier zone de captage, mais le détournement de l'argent des travaux. La ville de Venise est dans une zone de captage. La Hollande est dans une zone de captage, d'où le nom même "Nederland, Hollande ". A Dakar même, la Patte d'oies, une partie de la Médina, Castors, les HLM, sont des ex zones de captage.
