Le Doué monte à 4,44 m à Guédé Chantier : Le niveau du fleuve Sénégal sous surveillance
The hydrological situation of the Senegal River remains stable in Podor. This Wednesday, July 29, 2026, the water level recorded at 8 a.m. at the station located at the Elhadj Boubou Sall quay was 3.20 m, the same level recorded the previous day at the same time.
This stability comes at a time when, at the same time last year, the river level reached 3.56 m. The alert level at the Podor station is set at 5 m.
On the Doué, a tributary of the Senegal River, a slight rise was observed. At the Guédé Chantier gauge, the water level was 4.44 m this Wednesday morning, compared to 4.42 m the previous day, representing a rise of 2 cm in 24 hours.
Residents living along the river are urged to remain vigilant, especially as the Doué River at Guédé Chantier approaches the alert level of 5 meters. Caution is also advised, particularly regarding the supervision of children.
