Fadia City: K. Fall succumbs to his injuries, his brother now prosecuted for murder

K. Fall, the 51-year-old fishmonger stabbed by his younger brother on Tabaski day in the Fadia neighborhood of Golf-Sud, has died from his injuries at Dalal Jamm Hospital. This death has taken the case into a new legal dimension: the accused, M. Fall, 45, is now being prosecuted for murder, according to Seneweb sources.

The events took place in a 2nd floor apartment of a building in the Fadia district, in the municipality of Golf-Sud.

Around 1 p.m., the Golf-Sud district police station was alerted to a fight during which one of the protagonists, seriously injured, required emergency evacuation to the hospital.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found the walls and floors of the apartment covered in blood. The victim had already been taken by relatives to Dalal Jamm Hospital, where he was admitted to intensive care. He has been identified as K. Fall, a 51-year-old fishmonger.

Meanwhile, the alleged perpetrator had barricaded himself in a room of the apartment with several knives and refused to open the doors, ransacking the property while shouting "Sonko! Sonko!".

That's how reinforcements from the Multipurpose Intervention Brigade (BIP) were requested. In the meantime, the man attempted to climb the wall of the apartment, before tripping and falling.

He was apprehended in possession of five knives and taken to the police station, where he was identified as Mr. Fall, 45 years old, the younger brother of the victim, according to Seneweb sources.

According to their older brother A. Fall, M. Fall, under the influence of drugs, violently attacked K. Fall following an altercation about the consumption of offal and intestines in the living room.

While the victim was sleeping in her room, he surprised her before stabbing her several times.

The testimonies gathered indicate that Mr. Fall does not reside in the apartment rented by his older brother and his family. He had come to spend Tabaski with his family.

Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, informed of the death, has charged him with murder. The Golf-Sud district police station has opened an investigation.
