Concessionnaire floué : comment Mamour F. a réussi à voler sept voitures et à gagner 20 millions F CFA
The Faidherbe research brigade has apprehended Mamour F. He was arrested last Sunday in Rosso and taken to Dakar before being brought before the prosecutor for breach of trust and fraud.
According to Libération, which reported the story in its Thursday edition, the accused had rented seven cars from MS Diallo, a car dealership manager. The vehicles were intended for use in transporting guests to an event he claimed to be organizing in Dakar.
Unfortunately for the dealership, Mamour F. had another plan in mind. "Five of the vehicles were pawned to third parties to obtain financing estimated at 12 million CFA francs. [The alleged fraudster] also fraudulently sold the other two for 8 million before disappearing. The investigations carried out have, at this stage, allowed the recovery of six of the seven vehicles."
