Diamniadio : Sept trafiquants de kush et de tramadol arrêtés, dont la dame à la tête du réseau et quatre Sierra-Léonais
The Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS) of the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS) dismantled a well-established drug trafficking network in Diamniadio in a single evening. Seven individuals of Senegalese and Sierra Leonean nationality were arrested, including a woman who, according to Seneweb sources, was running the organization in the absence of her husband, who was traveling in Sierra Leone.
Operational intelligence triggers the operation
It all started with the meticulous exploitation of intelligence reporting a kush and tramadol trafficking network operating in Diamniadio, driven by individuals of foreign nationality.
To dismantle the network, the Dakar BRS police officers mounted a two-stage operation. A test purchase was first orchestrated with an order of five tramadol tablets and a bag of kush for 10,000 CFA francs, while a surveillance and tailing operation was simultaneously deployed around the two suspect residences.
Two homes raided, seven arrests
Between 6:50 p.m. and 7:25 p.m., the raid took place. In the first residence, which was being used as a smoking den, the gendarmes arrested M. Mballo, born in 2002 in Bargny, who claimed to be a fisherman, and SF Seck, born on January 7, 2009 in Golf, a motorcycle driver. Both were found in possession of a bag of kush.
Also apprehended at the scene were S. Mansaray, born in 2000 in Sierra Leone, and AR Kamara, born in 1985 in Sierra Leone, a bricklayer. A thorough search of their home yielded a bucket containing 95 képas of kush, six bags of the same product, and 16 tramadol tablets.
At the second residence of a woman posing as a businesswoman named Ms. Diallo, born in 1992 in Sierra Leone, a mobile phone, 8,000 CFA francs, and half a blister pack of unidentified pills were seized. Upon her arrest, she was identified as the ringleader despite her denials and the overwhelming evidence.
His neighbor, J. Kanu, born in 1996 in Sierra Leone and claiming to be a bricklayer, was also arrested. A search of his room revealed five tablets of pills whose nature remains to be determined.
Finally, O. Cissé, born in 2001, a self-proclaimed mason residing in Diamniadio, was arrested while he was trying to discreetly photograph the intervention device to alert the network before the assault was carried out on the home of Ms. M. Diallo.
At the end of the operation, the BRS seized nine bags and 95 képas of kush, 16 tramadol tablets, and six tablets of unidentified substance. In addition, six mobile phones, a KTM motorcycle, and packaging materials including four pairs of scissors, plastic bags, adhesive tape, and paper indicating organized resale activity were also seized.
When questioned one after the other, the suspects admitted their respective roles within the network. Mr. Mballo and SF Seck, for their part, confirmed that they had gone to the location solely to obtain drugs for personal use.
The seven individuals were taken into custody after being informed of their right to legal counsel of their choice. They are being prosecuted for conspiracy, drug possession and trafficking, complicity in drug trafficking, and drug use. The drugs and all seized items have been placed under seal pending further legal proceedings. Prosecutor Cheikh Diakhoumpa, head of the Rufisque prosecutor's office, has been informed of the facts.
