"He pulled down my pants and...": The 7-year-old girl accuses, the security guard denies it, and Auchan's security cameras settle the matter.

Mr. Ndiaye thought he had gotten away with it. Accused of sexually assaulting MD Cissé, a 7-year-old girl, this security guard working at the Auchan store in Dalifort had deployed a line of defense that seemed unassailable.

It was last Saturday. "The little girl just told me she was hungry. I gave her two 100 francs FA coins and she left," he swore to investigators at the Dalifort police station, who arrested him and then placed him in custody following a complaint from the father of the alleged victim, PB Cissé.

But what Mr. Ndiaye hadn't considered was that Auchan's security cameras had recorded everything. L'Observateur, which reported on this case, indicates that investigators then contacted store managers, who agreed to provide them with the footage recorded at the time the alleged events took place.

"And then," the newspaper exclaims, "everything falls apart for the security guard. In the footage, he can be clearly seen talking to the little girl. Then, he takes her by the hand and leads her into the guardhouse at the back of the store. They stay there for a long time before leaving."

Meanwhile, panic gripped the girl's parents. Noticing MD Cissé's absence, PB Cissé and his wife searched every corner of the house. When she reappeared, according to the newspaper Groupe Futurs Médias, the little girl was holding two 100 CFA franc coins. Her father questioned her about the money. That's when she dropped the bombshell: "The security guard gave it to me. He pulled down my underwear and touched my private parts, and then he gave me the money."

Enraged, PB Cissé took his daughter to the police station. The child repeated his story. After the suspect's arrest, questioning, and review of the incriminating surveillance footage, the alleged victim was taken to a gynecologist.

The doctor detected "vulvo-hymenal inflammation related to an infection that could be secondary to inappropriate touching," reports L'Observateur. The newspaper adds that the security guard is being prosecuted for indecent assault of a minor and acts of pedophilia.
