Kaolack : le «Jakartaman» change l’itinéraire de sa passagère, la viole et commet une grosse erreur en ciblant son compte Wave
Things could have ended there. Returning from the Gamou celebration in Thioffack (Kaolack region), on Tuesday night, MAG and her cousin took two Jakarta motorcycles home. The first woman, unaware of the route, followed the second, whose passenger knew the way.
Upon reaching the Valdiodio Ndiaye high school, the driver in second position, Amath N., turned off and changed direction. A few hundred meters further on, at the Kaolack exit, he turned onto a dirt track before parking his motorcycle on the shoulder. He stepped away from the vehicle briefly to relieve himself before returning, lifting his seat, and brandishing a sharp object. He threatened to harm his passenger if she did not allow him to satisfy his lust.
After abusing MAG, Amath N. could have disappeared without a trace. But he decided to empty his victim's Wave account. According to Libération, which reported this story, the accused asked the woman to get back on the motorcycle. They headed to the nearest pickup point.
"Once on the scene," the newspaper reports, "MAG found two people to whom she explained the situation, pretending to make a withdrawal. They managed to subdue the suspect before handing him over to the police."
When questioned by investigators, Amath N. denied the rape allegations. "A request has been sent to the El Hadj Ibrahima Niass Regional Hospital in Kaolack to examine the victim," reports Libération. "The accused is in police custody pending the results. The public prosecutor's office has been informed and the investigation is ongoing."
