He filmed himself to defy those who were hunting him. The leader of a gang accused of sowing terror at the end of wrestling matches was arrested on August 25, 2026 by members of the Keur Massar Research Brigade, putting an end to a manhunt marked by repeated provocations on social media.
Threats filmed and broadcast online
Actively sought by security forces, the individual had chosen an unusual method to assert his impunity: he posted videos on TikTok in which he made direct threats against the officers pursuing him. This was his way of taunting investigators while simultaneously consolidating his authority over the gang he led.
This modus operandi, as unprecedented as it was insolent, was not enough to shield him from justice.
According to information gathered by Seneweb, the man had made the areas surrounding wrestling matches his preferred hunting ground. At the end of the matches, when the crowd dispersed, he and his accomplices would swoop down on isolated citizens to assault and rob them.
After each attack, the group retreated to the Mbao forest, a natural refuge where they could take shelter out of sight, before taking more permanent refuge in the Parcelles Assainies area of Keur Massar.
It was during the night of August 24-25, 2026, that the net tightened. Near the Shell station in Keur Massar, a man who witnessed an assault tried to help the victim.
His actions proved costly: the determined assailants stabbed him in the forearm. The first victim escaped with injuries and a damaged motorcycle.
The attackers fled, but the two victims were able to formally identify their assailant once he was presented to the police.
The search carried out at the suspect's home added to the judicial file: two machetes, empty thinner containers, possibly linked to acts of vandalism or intimidation, as well as traces of Indian hemp were discovered there.
Placed in police custody, the individual now faces an impressive number of charges: criminal association, armed robbery, violence and assault, intentional blows and injuries, contempt of a public order officer, rebellion, possession of a bladed weapon and trafficking of Indian hemp.
