Ndiaganiao : Waly Ngom assĂšne plusieurs coups de coupe-coupe Ă Daouda Ndione
Waly Ngom (25 years old) and Doudou Ndione (22 years old) met at a Serer cultural ceremony called "Nguel" in the Bod-Escale neighborhood of the Ndiaganiao commune. An argument broke out between them, followed by a heated altercation. It was during this time that Waly Ngom pulled out his machete and struck Doudou Ndione in the head, left shoulder, and left arm. Having committed his crime, the assailant fled to a house, away from the ceremony. However, he was quickly subdued by his pursuers.
The victim was taken to the Ndiganiao health post and then to the Thiadiaye health district, where the doctor issued him a medical certificate for 15 days of temporary incapacity for work. Armed with this document, Doudou Ndione filed a complaint against Waly Ngom, who was subsequently arrested.
When questioned about the charges against him, Waly Ngom categorically denied the accusations and maintained that Daouda Ndione attacked him first and that he was only defending himself.
But his statements did not convince the investigators who referred him to the Mbour High Court prosecutor for intentional assault and battery.
