Aged 24 and residing in Pout, A. Goudiaby appeared before the Thiès court of flagrant offenses for the offense of breach of trust.
According to the facts presented in court, his friend Mr. Diallo had entrusted him with a Jakarta motorcycle. But the defendant ultimately decided to sell the vehicle, facing financial difficulties.
Before the presiding judge, A. Goudiaby explained that he had used the money from the sale to buy medication prescribed for his wife, who had just undergone an abortion. He admitted to selling the motorcycle, while stating that he was in a difficult financial situation and that, in his opinion, he had no other way to help his wife.
For the public prosecutor, these arguments could not justify the charges against the defendant. Believing A. Goudiaby guilty of breach of trust, the deputy public prosecutor requested a three-month prison sentence.
The case has been adjourned for deliberation.
