There's going to be more grumbling in Paris and Berlin. Spain is continuing with its rather unusual immigration policy. Pedro Sanchez's government has decided to boost the very dynamic job market by offering a 12-month visa to foreigners seeking employment in Spain who wish to enter legally.
The three criteria to be met
To be eligible for this visa, three criteria must be met. The first is familial. Applicants able to demonstrate direct lineage to a Spanish citizen by birth are given priority. The second criterion is professional. Only foreign nationals with technical or academic qualifications relevant to in-demand professions or strategic sectors defined by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) are eligible. The third and final criterion is geographical.
