Gaza's health ministry said on Saturday that Israel had killed at least four people in the Palestinian enclave, including a 10-year-old girl and the son of a senior official.

In a statement, the ministry, which is under the authority of Hamas, added that the girl "succumbed to her injuries after Israeli fire in the morning north of the Nuseirat camp, in the center of the Gaza Strip."

An airstrike also killed Baseer al-Bursh, son of Munir al-Bursh, director general of the Gaza Ministry of Health, in a camp for displaced people in Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip, according to the same source.

Speaking at his son's funeral, Munir al-Bursh denounced "the continuation of crimes" by Israel, according to a statement from the ministry.

Two other Palestinians were killed and several wounded in two separate strikes near Gaza City, according to Al-Shifa Hospital and the Civil Defense, which operates under Hamas authority.

When contacted by AFP, the Israeli army did not immediately respond.
