«Ils sont CONTRE moi» : Trump attaque Fox News en pleine soirée électorale
Election night begins and Donald Trump is in a bad mood. Polling stations haven't all closed in the United States yet, but the American president is already lashing out at Fox News from the White House, where he is following the midterm elections, crucial for the end of his term.
In a short period, he posted three messages on his Truth Social network targeting the favorite channel of American conservatives. In one of his messages, he attacks a panelist, calling her "dumb as a doorknob"; in another, he criticizes the channel's polls, which reflect Americans' dissatisfaction with his record. "They're AGAINST me," he accuses in a third post, referring to Fox News.
While these publications reveal nothing about the midterm election results, which will trickle in overnight and later in some cases, they at least highlight the 80-year-old billionaire's displeasure. His party, the Republicans, fears losing control of one or even both houses of Congress after these elections to the Democratic opposition, buoyed by voter discontent over the economic situation and the war in Iran.
Trump is hosting a small reception at the White House and has no plans for a public appearance during the evening, a schedule that is always subject to change.
