Iran: le guide suprême appelle à l'unité entre pays musulmans
Iran's supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, called on Muslim countries to unite against the United States and Israel in a written message Sunday, six months after the start of the Middle East war.
Mojtaba Khamenei, who succeeded his father Ali Khamenei, killed on the first day of the US-Israeli offensive against Iran on February 28, has never since been seen in public and the authorities have not released any video or audio recording of him.
"The solution to the problems of the Ummah (Muslim community) lies in unity of speech, friendship and cooperation on the path of good," the Ayatollah said, according to his official website.
"Anyone, in any position whatsoever, who does anything that causes division among Muslims and creates conflict within the Muslim community, knowingly or unknowingly, voluntarily or involuntarily, has served the objectives of the enemies of Islam," he added.
He called on the leaders of the countries in the region to "recognize (their) true enemy, understand its plan and fight it", designating the United States and Israel as the enemies of all, not just Iran.
In response to the Israeli-American offensive, Iran has targeted countries allied with Washington in the region, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain.
Tehran's relations with the capitals of the region have deteriorated since then.
The supreme leader, who has the final say on Iran's major policies, once again called on Iranian officials and people to put aside their differences and unite in the fight against the country's sworn enemies, the United States and Israel, stressing that "in no way should differences be allowed to arise" among the Iranian people.
On Friday, in a previous written statement, he had asserted that "committing anything that harms social cohesion was forbidden".
He also called for the gradual dedollarization of the Iranian economy and the strengthening of production to revive the economy, after months of US naval blockade and decades of international sanctions, which the United States announced on Monday would be tightened.
