La justice américaine va demander peine de mort en vue contre le meurtrier présumé d’un couple juif
One year after the attack outside the Jewish Museum in Washington that killed two employees of the Israeli embassy, the prosecution will seek the death penalty against the perpetrator.
The Washington prosecutor's office will seek the death penalty for the alleged murderer of two Israeli embassy employees near a Jewish museum in the US capital, according to court documents.
Elias Rodriguez was arrested and charged after fatally shooting Yaron Lischinsky, a 30-year-old Israeli, and his fiancée Sarah Milgrim, a 26-year-old American, on May 21, 2025, during the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip.
He shouted "Free Palestine" upon his arrest and reportedly told investigators, "I did it for Gaza."
According to the capital's prosecutor Jeanine Pirro, a former lawyer and ex-host of a legal television program appointed by Trump last year, "Rodriguez's actions were motivated by hatred, contempt, and prejudice of a political, ideological, and religious nature."
