Le cancer de Joe Biden s'est aggravé, selon son fils
Former US President Joe Biden's cancer has worsened with metastases "in his bones and beyond," his son Hunter told the BBC in an interview, describing the disease as "very painful" and "very debilitating."
The 83-year-old Democrat revealed in May 2025, four months after leaving the White House, that he had "aggressive" prostate cancer with bone metastases.
"The cancer spread, it metastasized into his bones and beyond," Hunter Biden said in an interview broadcast Friday night on the BBC.
"It's very painful, and it's very disabling in many ways, but he's still here," continued the son of the 46th President of the United States (2021-2025), showing himself visibly moved several times.
"It's really, really difficult, and it's really sad to see," he said.
Joe Biden had decided not to run for reelection in 2024 amid concerns about his health. Vice President Kamala Harris ran in his place and was defeated by Republican Donald Trump.
After being diagnosed with cancer, Joe Biden began a protocol of radiotherapy and hormone treatment.
He had stated last month, on the occasion of the upcoming release of a book about his presidential term, that his treatment was going "really well".
