Listeria : Des crevettes contaminées rappelées partout en France, il ne faut surtout pas les manger
Prawns sold at Grand Frais are being recalled throughout France due to listeria contamination, the agent responsible for listeriosis.
Be careful if you recently bought shrimp from a supermarket. A batch is currently being recalled due to Listeria monocytogenes bacteria, the agent responsible for listeriosis. People who consume this shrimp may become ill, according to the government website Rappel Conso .
Specifically, the recall concerns whole cooked shrimp sold in Grand Frais stores throughout France, Fresh stores, and on the website monmarche.fr. These are 400-gram trays, sold between April 17 and 28, 2026. The GTIN code is 3457650031125, and the batch number is 1042600847041.
"Listeriosis is a potentially serious illness with an incubation period of up to eight weeks," explains Rappel Conso. People who have consumed these shrimp may experience fever, either alone or accompanied by headaches and body aches. If this occurs, it is essential to consult your doctor as soon as possible and inform them of this consumption.
Rappel Conso also indicates that "severe forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can sometimes occur." Pregnant women should therefore be particularly attentive to symptoms, as should immunocompromised individuals and the elderly.
You can return the product to the point of sale for a refund. The recall process will end on Thursday, May 21.
