« Une double allégeance » : Jean Messiha critique la femme d’Ousmane Dembélé
Ousmane Sonko's comments about the French national team continue to cause a stir in France. Jean Messiha, president of the Institut Vivre Français, recently stated on the digital channel "Ligne Droite" that the former Senegalese Prime Minister was, to a lesser extent, correct in asserting that "whatever the outcome of the France-Senegal match, it is Africa that will have beaten Africa," because in reality, "the players on the French national team are not all exclusively French."
"Can we say that Ousmane Dembélé's family is a French family like any other?"
He gave the example of Ousmane Dembélé, whose wife wears a niqab.
“Dembélé is an extremely talented footballer. When I see his wife wearing a niqab—well, it’s not really a niqab, because she cleverly wears a surgical mask to avoid sanctions, but essentially it’s a niqab. Is that French? Can we say that Ousmane Dembélé’s family is a French family like any other? In any case, not according to my idea of France. This dual allegiance is problematic,” criticized the Eric Zemmour supporter.
It must be said that Jean Messiha considers himself a politician who has fully assimilated into France and its values. It's worth remembering that he is of Egyptian origin and his real name was Hossam Botros Messiha.
