Une femme de ménage décède après une chute d’une fenêtre à Dilbeek: “Elle voulait apparemment secouer un tapis”
A cleaning woman died Tuesday in a work accident in Dilbeek (Flemish Brabant), the Hal-Vilvorde labour auditorate confirmed Wednesday.
A 58-year-old woman reportedly fell from a window in Dilbeek, but the exact circumstances of her death are not yet known. “It appears the woman was trying to shake a rug from a first-floor window,” explained Natasha De Vylder, spokesperson for the labor prosecutor's office. “She then apparently leaned against a railing, which broke, causing her to fall. She did not survive.”
The victim was discovered around 3 p.m., but the exact time of the fall has not yet been determined. The occupational health and safety inspection service has opened an investigation. The fatal accident occurred on Koolwitje Street, not far from Dilbeek train station.
