Actes contre nature à Tambacounda : 14 homosexuels présumés envoyés en prison et 07 remis en liberté
The investigating judge at the Tambacounda High Court has remanded 14 suspected homosexuals and lesbians in custody, including four who are HIV-positive. The judge followed the preliminary indictment of the public prosecutor, which cited charges of criminal conspiracy, sodomy, and intentional HIV transmission, among others. In a new development, the investigating magistrate released seven other suspects.
The events stem from the exploitation of intelligence reporting the alleged activities of young girls suspected of being lesbians in a hostel located in the Liberté district.
Investigations carried out by the Tambacounda Research Section led to the arrest of 21 suspects, including 7 young women.
