Affaire ASER : Jean Michel Sène appelle la justice à aller au bout de sa logique
The Director General of the Senegalese Rural Electrification Agency (ASER), Jean Michel Sène, reacted to the publication of the statement by the Financial Prosecutor. In a statement, he welcomed the prosecutor's communication and reaffirmed his commitment to seeing the investigations pursued to their conclusion.
“We welcome the publication of the press release from the Financial Public Prosecutor. Waxoon na ñu leen ko: yuuxu dina jibee fu ñu ko foogee wul! “, he said.
Jean Michel Sène claims to have previously exposed what he presents as a "modus operandi of prevarication and embezzlement of public funds", involving, according to him, the same bank, several Spanish companies and one and the same person.
In his reaction, the Director General of ASER cites in particular three cases and puts forward significant amounts: Intermaq (85 billion FCFA), Liteyca (50 billion FCFA) and AEE Power (91 billion FCFA).
To support his claims, Jean Michel Sène cites reports from the Court of Auditors and ARCOP, which he presents as available to document the alleged facts. He also asserts that he has provided investigators with "all the documents" likely to corroborate his statements.
The head of ASER is now calling on the justice system to continue its work. "Let justice follow its logic to the end, so that the Senegalese people ultimately know how their money has been squandered," he insists.
