Affaire Caco (Cdc) : le Pool judiciaire financier ouvre une information judiciaire, 2.2 milliards de FCFA en jeu
The Financial Judicial Pool (PJF) has opened a judicial investigation into the case of the African Consulting and Organization Consortium (CACO), a subsidiary of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), following a complaint alleging payments for invoices that did not correspond to any actual services rendered. The estimated loss is 2.2 billion CFA francs.
According to a statement from the Financial Prosecutor, the Director General of Caco had filed a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) on November 18, 2024, regarding these events.
The investigation uncovered "several cases of overbilling", amounting to more than 2.2 billion CFA francs, the financial prosecutor's office stated.
In view of the seriousness of the facts, a judicial investigation has been opened against two CACO agents and X, for association of criminals, forgery and use of forged private commercial or banking documents, embezzlement of public funds, money laundering and complicity in embezzlement of public funds.
The financial prosecutor's office emphasizes that the procedure aims to shed full light on the operations that caused the alleged harm and to establish the possible responsibilities of the people involved.
