Affaire DER/FJ-SERTEM : Le contentieux à 17 milliards se poursuit au tribunal de commerce
The case between the General Delegation for Rapid Entrepreneurship for Women and Youth (DER/FJ) and the company SERTEM was heard on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, before the Dakar Commercial Court. According to Seneweb, the case was adjourned until June 25, 2026, for further information.
At the hearing on April 2, 2026, the case had already been called before the council chamber as part of an attempt at conciliation.
The dispute concerns the construction project for the Mohamed Bin Zayed Centre, intended to house the headquarters of the DER/FJ in Mermoz. This contract, valued at 17.24 billion FCFA, was awarded to the SERTEM group in 2021.
However, the DER/FJ, headed by Aïda Mbodji, decided to terminate the contract, accusing the company of delays in carrying out the work.
For its part, SERTEM cites, in particular, the failure to provide certain contractual documents and an accumulation of payment delays estimated at 2.6 billion FCFA to justify the suspension of the construction project. The company also denounces the failure to issue the exemptions necessary for the continuation of the work.
