Affaire Ouzin Keïta : le Doyen des juges suit le parquet
The presiding judge has finally ruled in the case of Ousseynou Keïta, also known as Ouzin Keïta, and his 14 co-defendants. Following the prosecution's final indictment, the judge issued his order and sent them to trial before the criminal court, reports Libération. The notice of the order has been duly served on the defense lawyers.
The magistrate charged them with "acts against nature," intentional transmission of HIV, and endangering the lives of others, the newspaper reports. The 15 defendants, who have been incarcerated since last March, will have to answer for these charges before the criminal court, the same source continues.
Ouzin Keïta and his co-defendants, including a minor, were arrested in the middle of the night by the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) in an apartment located in Ouest-Foire. At the time of their arrest, five of those detained tested positive for HIV, the newspaper reports.
