Affaire Reug Reug : deux nouveaux suspects identifiés
The investigation into the "black money" affair involving wrestler Oumar Kane, alias "Reug-Reug," is gaining momentum. L'Observateur reveals that investigators from the Faidherbe Research Brigade have identified two new suspects, bringing the number of people targeted in this case to six.
The fifth suspect located in Mauritania
The fifth suspect is believed to be the one who "supplied the famous box of black banknotes" transported by the wrestler to the Marist apartment, according to statements by Ahmadou B. Ndiaye, the uncle of "Reug-Reug".
Initially located in Keur Matar Guèye, near Pout, the suspect "felt the net closing in" and "abandoned his wife and children" before fleeing. He passed through Touba on his way to Mauritania, where he was spotted in Nouakchott. An objection to his leaving the country was reportedly raised, and according to L'Observateur, his arrest is imminent.
A sixth suspect identified
Analysis of the phones seized during the investigation also allowed the police to identify a sixth suspect. This individual is believed to be directly linked to the horse racing promoter presented as the alleged mastermind of the network, who is still at large.
The suspect has now been "formally identified and his digital routine traced by the gendarmerie's cybercrime experts." The newspaper, part of the Futurs Médias Group, also believes that "his capture is now only a matter of hours."
