Robbery at a Wave transfer point in Dahra: Three individuals brought before the prosecutor

The Ndamatou district police station has brought three individuals before the prosecutor. They are being prosecuted for armed robbery, theft committed at night with violence, use of bladed weapons and firearms, use of a vehicle, and criminal conspiracy.

As a reminder, the events took place on October 19th around 6:00 AM. During a night patrol, officers from the investigation unit spotted a white Mitsubishi vehicle driving without license plates near the Tally Boubess roundabout. Ordered to stop, the driver immobilized the vehicle near the Khaira roundabout to evade the checkpoint.

The vehicle showed obvious signs of forced entry (ignition lock and rear right window smashed). The search uncovered several incriminating clues and items: traces of blood, tools (jack, screwdriver, machete, iron bar), a black balaclava, master keys, and various administrative documents. The first suspect was apprehended at the scene after the driver fled.

The investigation quickly revealed that the gang had committed a burglary the previous evening, October 19, around 8 p.m., at a general store in Dahra Djoloff, netting 8 million CFA francs. The investigation soon led to the arrest of the gang's alleged ringleader in Dahra Djoloff, and a search of his home yielded two rounds of ammunition concealed in military clothing, as well as license plates.

With the support of the Wakhinane Nimzatt police station, the maker of the master keys was also apprehended. These three individuals, all members of the gang that robbed the general store in Dahra Djoloff, have been handed over to the justice system.

They are charged with armed robbery, theft committed at night with violence, use of bladed and firearms, use of a vehicle and criminal conspiracy.
