Scandale de la billetterie du Mondial 2026 : la DIC enquête sur 50 millions FCFA volatilisés
The controversy surrounding ticketing for the 2026 World Cup has taken a legal turn. The federal platform Go-Gaïndé has filed a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) against Elite Sports Events Management, an organization that received accreditation from the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) to obtain and resell World Cup tickets, reports L'Observateur.
At the heart of the dispute, the same source points to 50 million CFA francs that Go-Gaïndé claims not to have received. According to a source close to the case quoted by the newspaper, Elite Sports ordered tickets for a total of 60 million CFA francs, but only paid a 10 million CFA franc deposit, with the promise to settle the balance after the competition. "We're struggling to get our money," laments the source speaking to the Futurs Médias Group daily, after several reminders and a formal notice that went unanswered.
The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) explained that the accreditation granted to Elite Sports allowed the organization to manage tickets for Senegalese citizens wishing to attend matches. Faced with the non-payment of the outstanding balance, Go-Gaïndé ultimately decided to take legal action. Iyane Thiam, cited in the complaint as an intermediary for the organization, was questioned by investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC).
Implicated in the case, he nevertheless denies any responsibility. "There's been a misunderstanding," he told L'Observateur. He maintains that he is "not an employee of this organization," but rather the initiator of the program to support Senegalese fans during the World Cup. According to him, he is unaware of "the heart of the dispute" and that his name was mentioned in the complaint because Go-Gaïndé mistakenly identified him as the "project's focal point."
Iyane Thiam also claims that 95% of refunds for subscribers who did not obtain visas have already been processed and asserts that he has no personal disputes. "My name does not appear in the agreement signed with Elite Sports," he maintains. The DIC investigation is ongoing.

La FSF a humilié le Sénégal devant le monde entier et a détruit tout ce qui avait été construit ces 20 dernières années.
