Téléphones et vidéos compromettantes en cellule : Le procès de Boy Djiné change de tribunal
The detainee Baye Modou Fall, alias Boy Djiné, who was remanded in custody on June 29, 2026, for complicity in smuggling items into a prison, had his case heard this Wednesday, July 15, before the Dakar Magistrates' Court, even though he was not brought from his cell. However, the court declared itself incompetent and referred the case to the Dakar District Court.
According to his lawyer, El Hadj Badara Ndiaye, Boy Djiné will be brought back into custody this Thursday to be questioned by the public prosecutor. He is then expected to be tried this Monday before the Dakar court.
It should be noted that Boy Djiné is currently being held in custody for burglary. This main case is pending before the Criminal Court of Dakar.
During a security search carried out in his cell at the Liberté 6 penal camp, prison administration agents seized two mobile phones, a memory card and a card reader.
When questioned about the origin of the communication devices, the inmate admitted ownership and stated that one of the phones had been smuggled into the prison. However, he firmly refused to reveal the identity of his accomplice to investigators.
Furthermore, the technical analysis carried out on one of the seized mobile phones revealed the presence of numerous pornographic multimedia files dating from 2023.
