More bad news for Salif Keïta's fans. After a few days in the hospital, the Malian music star has broken his silence to speak out. In a statement posted on his social media platforms, the artist expressed his sadness and gratitude to his fans who supported him during this difficult time.
In the same statement, he cancels his dates and announces a temporary rest in order to receive proper medical treatment.
“Following a routine medical check-up and on the advice of my doctor, I have cancelled some of my shows and decided to take some rest. I have been very touched by all your messages of support and wishes for a speedy recovery. Thank you for your continued support and love. I will not be doing any long tours in the coming months, but I will see you very soon, on stage and with new projects. Always driven by the same passion and the same desire to share exceptional moments with you. I love you,” he said.
