JOJ Dakar-2026 : Mamie Mbaye signe « Teranga », la chanson officielle des Jeux
With 100 days to go until the opening of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games (YOG), the organizing committee unveiled the official song of the event. Entitled "Teranga," this song is performed by Senegalese singer Mamie Mbaye.
Presented at the press conference marking the 100-day countdown, this song is intended as a true anthem to the values that Senegal intends to share with the world on the occasion of the first Youth Olympic Games organized on the African continent.
Inspired by Teranga, the symbol of Senegalese hospitality, the artwork conveys a message of fraternity, sharing, peace, and unity, perfectly aligned with the ideals of the Olympic movement. It will accompany the various promotional campaigns for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, both in Senegal and internationally.
Through this song, Mamie Mbaye highlights the cultural identity of Senegal while celebrating African youth, who will be at the heart of this historic event.
With 100 days to go, the organizing committee reaffirms its ambition to make Dakar 2026 a showcase of Senegalese and African expertise. Beyond infrastructure and logistical preparations, the organizers aim to deliver Games marked by excellence, sharing, and the warmth of Senegalese hospitality, embodied by "Teranga," now the official soundtrack of this grand celebration of world sport.
