Momo Dieng se livre : trahisons, célébrité, doutes… les confidences sans filtre du chanteur
Behind the artist and the musical legacy of his father, the late Ndiouga Dieng, Momo Dieng opens up about the trials that have marked his career. Interviewed by L'Observateur on the occasion of the release of his album Niveau, the singer discusses the disappointments, betrayals, and lessons learned from fame.
The artist acknowledges that "betrayal and injustice can hurt, especially when they come from people you trusted." Over time, he says he has learned to take a step back and not place so much importance on the judgment of others. "It's dangerous to start living solely through the eyes of others," he confides.
Momo Dieng also admits to having experienced periods of fatigue and doubt, without ever considering giving up music. Attached to the human values passed down by his father, he is determined to preserve the man behind the artist. Faced with the fluctuations of fame, he states: "I prefer to be less present in the media but continue to offer something solid, rather than being constantly visible without having anything to offer." It's a way of prioritizing the quality of his work over constant media exposure.
