ANACIM : Voici les régions du Sénégal qui vont enregistrer de la pluie ce dimanche
The National Civil Aviation and Meteorology Agency (ANACIM) published its 24-hour forecast on Sunday. The very short-term forecast predicts generally unsettled weather with precipitation in several regions and rising temperatures across the country.
For Sunday, the sky will remain mostly cloudy along the coast. Light, scattered showers are possible in the regions of Dakar, Thiès, and Diourbel.
Rain and thunderstorms will intensify in the late afternoon and evening, particularly in the south where heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in Ziguinchor. The towns of Kolda, Kédougou, Kaolack, Fatick, and to a lesser extent Tambacounda, Bakel, and Kaffrine, could also experience showers, although the chances are considered low to moderate.
During the night into Monday morning, a rain system will cross the Northeast area of the country before reaching the Saint-Louis region much later.
Along the Senegalese coast, it will feel relatively hot due to the thick cloud cover that will trap the air. The heat will be even more intense in the central and eastern regions, where temperatures will rise slightly, reaching peaks of 40°C in some areas.
As for the rest, ANACIM reassures road users, stating that visibility will be generally good across the entire country. Winds will blow from various directions with a low to moderate intensity.
