MÉTÉO : L’ANACIM annonce des pluies hors saison du 30 octobre au 2 novembre
The National Agency for Civil Aviation and Meteorology (ANACIM) announces unseasonal rains, light to moderate in places, from October 30 to November 2 in several regions of Senegal.
According to weather bulletin No. 003, the first rainfall is expected Friday afternoon in the South (Ziguinchor, Kolda, Sédhiou), the East (Kédougou, Tambacounda) and, to a lesser extent, in Kaffrine.
From October 31st, the rains could spread to the south-central region, particularly to Fatick, Kaolack, and Nioro, as well as to the Saloum Islands, Mbour, and Diourbel. Some areas in the Thiès region could also be affected. In Dakar, the risk of rain will remain low.
New rain and thunderstorm events are expected between the evening of November 1st and the morning of November 2nd in the South and South-Central regions.
ANACIM recommends that farmers protect dry crops, cut fodder and products in the process of drying, while avoiding the storage of crops that are still wet to prevent mold.
The public is advised to follow the upcoming weather reports.
